Who We Are
Dan Young Construction, Inc. is a family run business founded in 1999. Dan Young has been a licensed contractor since 1984 and has worked in the building industry for more than 26 years. Our business consists mainly of residential remodeling; we have had jobs ranging from simple window replacements and fence repairs, to large 4000 sq. ft additions. We project manage the job and work diligently to provide quality craftsmanship with efficiency and honesty.
In fact, honesty and efficiency are the watchwords of our business. We have established long-term relationships with our subcontractors, most of our employees have been with us several years, and we are proud of the fact that almost all of our new business has been referred to us from satisfied clients. We are licensed and carry current workman’s compensation and liability insurance. You are always able to check on licensing information at the Contractors State License Board.
Dan Young Construction, Inc. looks forward to working with homeowners on a one-on-one basis and in close consultation with architects. We believe a remodeling project is just one of the things that can help turn a “house” into a “home.”

Thinking of doing a remodel? Do your homework before you proceed.
One of the more disappointing things we can hear is a homeowner who will not be proceeding with their project, delaying their project and/or “settling” for something less than they originally wanted after months and maybe years of dreaming, anticipating and planning.
We encourage clients thinking of doing a remodel to talk with builders before the plans are finalized. Architects may be able to provide preliminary drawings so that a builder can provide insight as to what financial direction the project is headed. Then, the architect and owner can proceed with the design details with a realistic budget in mind.
At DYC Inc. we encourage a preliminary meeting and are happy to meet with potential clients, with or without their architects, to look at their space and drawings to date. We can inform you of any potential building stumbling blocks and insight from the builders perspective. We greatly enjoy working collaboratively with architects, engineers, and owners from the beginning of the project and feel that this team effort can save time and money.
Remember to look at the big picture and have a master plan. Take all of the information you have received from the experts and then proceed with what feels best for you.
So get creative, have fun, and do your homework when planning your home improvements.
